About the short story, The Grandfather Clock: “This is a “fantastic” time travel book for children eight years old and up! Actually, I was quite on the edge of my seat, from beginning to end! It is a quick, delightful, and entertaining read that stimulates imagination and interest in the past. 5 stars!”– Janet Ashmore

In the meantime, on my blog I review middle-grade books, looking for those family-friendly gems that can be so hard to find.

Phyllis Wheeler set a goal at age 13 to write a children’s book, a journey with lots of detours that took many years. She’s written for daily newspapers, worked on airplanes as a mechanical engineer, worked as a publisher and editor, and raised four children, doing some homeschooling along the way. Now she’s writing award-winning time-travel fantasy tales for kids and teens.
